Teaching & Learning Centre Website Redesign

Redesigning a central info hub for returning and incoming instructors

As universities move into online teaching, the Teaching & Learning Centre has become an increasingly important resource for faculty members at Emily Carr University. However, the old website was not user-friendly, with lack of information and visual hierarchy. In the summer of 2020, I was tasked with redesigning and developing this website.

Problem

The Teaching & Learning Centre (TLC)'s website was outdated and inefficient. As ECU is preparing its instructors for upcoming online teaching, a central information hub with clear information architecture and hierarchy is crucial.

Solution

Together with another designer, I redesigned the TLC website with a minimal and clean look, focusing on information hierarchy, while implementing a WordPress visual builder for easier maintenance and update of the site.

My contribution to this project helped design and implement a clean UI, with streamlined page layouts for future site maintenance.
